On principle, loafers and bucks are good casual dress shoes. For dress, begin by replacing those graphic tees with white and blue sport shirts; oxford cloth button-downs are a good starting point as they’re easily dressed up or down and can be worn year-round. He should also grab an unstructured sportcoat or two, pocket squares and ties. More chinos and maybe a pair or two of wool dress trousers would be the next step, corduroy pants are great for fall/winter and easy to maintain. Get him out of that White Stripes color phase and replace the black and red with browns (khaki/chocolate) and blues (light blue/navy). This wardrobe transition is also a good time to significantly downsize your wardrobe, invest in higher quality pieces, and learn how to properly care for your clothing.

1. White & blue (or grey) oxfords, selvedge indigo denim, black/white (or grey) denim, 3-roll-2 blazer (navy w/gold buttons), some form of bean boots. You can play around with everything else but if you don’t at least have these items you don’t have a real wardrobe.
2. I’m a sucker for heritage brands like Gitman Vtg./L.L. Bean/Quoddy/Clarks, I like a lot of J.Crew stuff, especially their collaborations. Uniqlo is the best for basics. For higher end stuff I like Alden, Mark McNairy, & Mr. Hare for footwear; Engineered Garments/Woolrich Woolen Mills, Save Khaki, Rogue Territory, Mr. Freedom, Yuketen, I guess you could say I like more rugged stuff when it comes to menswear but I appreciate a lot of other styles.
These answers makes me seem like I have a really narrow perspective on mens fashion but these are just the things that I enjoy the most.
Wes Anderson’s original, black & white, 13 minute version of Bottle Rocket.
Anderson’s short film, which he shot in 1992 and distributed two years later, was originally set to star ”real” and established actors but, due to budget issues, the main roles were given to co-screenwriter Owen Wilson and his brother Luke, neither of whom had ever appeared in a film before.
Things worked out okay.
Two years later, with help from early Anderson fan and supporter, James L. Brooks, Bottle Rocket was reworked, reshot, and released as Wes Anderson’s first feature film.

In all seriousness, I think every girl should have a:
- good pair of flats that she can wear to an upscale event/a classy night out/on a date
- pair of nude pumps
- white/blue button-up
- pair of pleated shorts that she can dress up/down
- tan-coloured trench coat
- black bodycon (screw typical LBDs)
- pair of black/white denim
- basic cable knit sweater

Am I the only person who think it’s completely normal to go to a restaurant (or a movie theatre, or anywhere really) alone? I do it all the time.
I can’t do it. I’ve done it once at a diner in San Fran. I took a paper so I didn’t look so odd.
It’s normal, i do this a lot. If you’re really hungry you wouldn’t care what people say or be bored with yourself and i like to go to movies all by myself sometimes.
I only just started doing it this year. I felt uncomfortable and I think people noticed that but after a while you get used to it and it’s not that bad. I’ve never gone to the movies alone though, but that’s because I rarely go anyway.
